Optionally inspect the role before selecting its key for a transfer. The example prints its decoded authority and action count. This read requires an RPC connection and no signing key or transaction gas.

Select the wallet and role

Set RPC_URL, ACCOUNT_ADDRESS, and ROLE_ID. Use the config address returned by wallet creation and the role ID returned by adding a role. Omitting ROLE_ID reads root role 0.

Check the result

The example decodes the role’s authority and action count. For the spending role, confirm that the authority is the delegate address you intended to authorize. Individual permission values require a separate contract read. Use the native config binding’s getAction(roleId, actionIndex) method, then decode the result with decodePermission (TypeScript), Permission::decode (Rust), or decode_permission (Python). The read-role example itself reports authority and action count; it does not query the remaining allowance. Next, send a transfer with the delegate key. Full examples: TypeScript, Rust, Python.
